Our family is descended from Jens Andersen born 1852 of Vrensted, Denmark. We are out of his son August Andersen 1891. He is my husband's grandfather. A kind lady on the internet GENFORUM list group sent me some wonderful data you had posted on our family.

August Andersen left Denmark as a young man and went to New Zealand where his brother Axel also relocated to before him. Infact I believe Axel settled there and died there possibly. I know from August's obituary Axel was there when August died in March 26, 1936 in Miami, Dade county, Florida. August married Hazel Dunnagan who was born 23 Sept. 1902 in Billings, Yellowstone county, Montana. Shortly after their marriage they went back to New Zealand where they had a daughter Tui Marie Andersen was born in Auckland on 22 June 1921. Later they came to Miami , Fla. where August was a successful brick layer. His son August Andersen also took up the profession. We knew little about the Andersen family and welcomed your info. We are putting it into our computer genealogy program. My husband 's grandfather is August Andersen of Denmark so Jens Andersen born 1852 at Vrensted is his greatgrandfather and Ane marie Sorensen his greatgrandmother.

My husband George Uffenorde is an engineer for Boeing Aircraft co. here in Seattle area. I am a nurse and we have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Three of our children have graduated from University and the last is still in college. We live in a small town up on a mountain and have several acres of land . It is quite lovely here. Seattle is about a 45 min. drive from our home.
